Editorial policy

Last updated 11 October 2026 · 3RD UNICORN LTD, company no. 17490143, 128 City Road, London EC1V 2NX

Please read this before ordering. These terms aren't negotiable. Each title in the 3rd Unicorn network also publishes its own editorial policy page.

Disclosure and link attribution

Paid placements carry a disclosure, and links are attributed rel="sponsored". This is required by FTC rules in the US, ASA and CAP rules in the UK, and Google's guidelines. It's also published in the editorial policy of every one of our titles, so a buyer can read it before contacting us, and so can a regulator.

We understand some buyers want undisclosed dofollow links. We don't sell them, at any price. What you're buying here is a placement on a publication that a reader, a journalist or a compliance officer can examine without finding a problem, and that's only worth something if it's true.

Editorial coverage is never for sale

Our desks cover new brands, products, launches and regulatory developments as news, at their own discretion and at no cost. That coverage is written independently, may be critical, and links to its sources. It can't be bought, and buying a placement doesn't influence it. To suggest your brand for coverage, write to editorial@3rdunicorn.com; there's no charge and no obligation either way.

Sponsors see the draft of their own sponsored post and may correct facts about their product. The desk keeps the rating, criticisms and conclusion of any sponsored review. Sponsors have no access to editorial coverage.

What we publish

  • Genuine assessment. Reviews carry real pros and cons. We'll publish a fair criticism of your product, and we'll tell you before it goes live.
  • Factual accuracy. Every regulatory, legal or statistical claim is checked against a primary source before publication.
  • Compliance framing. iGaming content carries 18+ and safer-play notices; supplements carry FDA/MHRA framing; financial content carries risk warnings. These aren't optional.
  • Your content, edited. Supplied copy is edited to house style. We won't publish text that reads as advertising.

What we decline

  • Unlicensed operators. iGaming and financial brands must be licensed in the market the publication serves.
  • False regulatory claims. We won't state or imply that a product is regulated, authorised or licensed unless it verifiably is.
  • Undisclosed sponsorship. No exceptions.
  • Illegal or fraudulent offers. Counterfeit goods, unlicensed medicines, fraud, and anything aimed at minors.
  • Content aimed at banned markets. We don't publish material promoting iGaming to residents of jurisdictions where it's a crime.
  • Editorial control over verdicts. You can't dictate a rating, remove a criticism, or approve the conclusion.
  • Player-recruitment placements. Sign-up offers, bonus codes and affiliate funnels are declined on every title. Licensed operators are welcome for trade-facing announcements and product coverage.

Guidelines for supplied copy

  • 800–1,200 words for articles, 300–500 for news items.
  • Original and unpublished. We check.
  • At most 2 links to your domain, placed where they fit the text naturally, attributed rel="sponsored".
  • Licensed or royalty-free images only, with the licence stated.
  • No unverifiable statistics, invented quotations, or claims attributed to sources that don't make them.
  • We may edit for accuracy, length and house style, and decline anything that fails these standards.
